How about our own 60 Minutes thread!
Who watched? What did you think of Richard Clarke? Was he angry enough? Was the Bush guy squirrely enough? Did you love how he tried to blame everything on Clinton? Was that about the best show you've seen for awhile? What can we expect from the Bush phelm going forward from here?

4. Excuse me, but I've been at the other DU forums
and I thought it would be nice to have one in the Lounge...do you have a problem with that?

7. Well, you may be right but I don't think
that the Lounge is prevented from voicing political concerns. If you don't like this subject, don't bother with it. If the mods want to ban all political discussion from the Lounge then they will tell us...but I don't think that's the case.

8. We also discuss serious topics here
too. Sometimes the other forum threads get too busy or too contentious.

I thought it showed how self-deluded the * admin really is. Clarke definitely came off better than that twerp.

Good to see you here! I hope it's a "tick, tick, tick thing. Wouldn't that be ironic! I can't see how the media can avoid this.

10. I'm glad it was 60 minutes
and not some other TV news venue. They're the oldest with the most credibility and the largest audience. Plus they got the tournament audience too.

11. Its that damn stopwatch on 60 minutes ticking for some many years
I'm enjoying the DU. Informative diverse minds, however, let's all join in the common goal of defeating Bush in November. Kerry/Edwards 2004:bounce:

12. The Clarke thing was great but what really amaxed me...
Edited on Sun Mar-21-04 08:21 PM by VelmaD
was Andy Rooney giving the administration hell over the idea of a Constitutional Amendment banning gay marriage. Color me stunned.

14. SNERK - 71% of couples in OK get divorced
I didn't hear if that meant last year, since I'm in the next room from the TV. But I thought that was a great little factoid.
