Why I think the upcoming week could be good for us
Edited on Sat Mar-20-04 01:13 PM by lancdem
1) Richard Clarke's "60 Minutes" interview.
2) sworn testimony by Clinton officials (and Clarke) before 9/11 commission saying Bush admin. ignored repeated warnings about terrorism
3) Democratic Party unity event March 25 honoring Clinton and Carter, and rallying around Kerry, should be our version of Bush's Nuremberg rally.

1. I wish that Nuremburg rally would backfire --
it was frightening. I wonder if it struck some viewers as not reality-based....

2. OK, I watched Herr Bush's rally in 'Florida
It was impressive. Full of lies but nevertheless, impressive and effective.

WE need to attack this. Bush went on the attack to Kerry--not once but over and over. He also sidswiped Clinton without mentioning Clinton's name.

This cannot be allowed to continue without some sort of strong, very strong reply to these tactics

the gauntlet has been thrown down Kerry--you need to energize your campainge you need to fight back loudly and with forcefulness. We do NOT need to be nice to any of them at all

if we lose, the we lose but at least we can go down with pride, fighting for this country and not cowering behind an ancient desk on the Senate floor for the sake of expediency

This is crucial now. We have been given a taste of what is in store--and Bush looked very strong.
