Coincidence? Aaron Brown in Pakistan As "High Value Target" Surrounded?

CNN Anchor, Aaron Brown, just happens to travel to Islamabad just hours before the "breaking news story that "Pakistani forces have surrounded what may be a "high-value" al Qaeda target in Pakistan near the border with Afghanistan as President Pervez Musharraf has now told CNN." http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/asiapcf/03/18/pakistan.alqaeda/index.html

Sure, sure, Brown's trip was already "planned in advance", but then again, aren't most foreign trips "planned in advance"?

Wouldn't the bombing and massacre in Madrid and the election of a Socialist government there which will pull out Spanish troops from Iraq be a bigger international "story" for Aaron Brown to personally cover?

Why Pakistan?

Why this week, the anniversary of the War on Iraq?

Was Brown and CNN tipped off in advance about the "high value target"?

And, SpikeTrees, it was also an Iranian news story that first broke the shocking truth to the world in the 1980's that the Reagan/Bush Administration, in an elaborate international "conspiracy", had actually been illegally selling arms to Iran and funneling the monies to the right-wing terrorist group, the Contras in Nicaragua.

What sounded "tinfoil" then, turned out to be the truth.

Actually, this is a pattern. Every time a high level American official visits Pakistan, one or two Al-Qaeda leaders are promptly caught.

It is just another way for our "frontline ally" to show that they are cooperating (while involved in nuke proliferation ,and other terrorist activities almost everywhere in the world).

Rumors from "reliable sources". I am sure Brown did not get a call from the CIA, that just is not how it works. No one here was saying that either. I really wish people would work on reading comprehension before posting insults that show what asses they truly are.

10. Oh, I Get "It". CNN Is The "Good Corporate News" And Not Like Fox.

On the night of the invasion by the United States into Iraq with the "Shock and Awe Campaign", Aaron Brown grinned ear to ear as each bomb was dropped and as each explosion illuminated the screen and exclaimed over and over "Great Fun! Great Fun!"

Obviously, you believe it was just a coincidence. You are entitled to that belief. I hope you voted accordingly and thank you for doing so.

Why is he there? I mean he is one of their main anchors and they sent him to Pakistan while there was seemingly nothing to report from there. Why not Iraq? Where there is the one year anniversary of the start of the war, or Spain, or Libya, or Haiti or any number of other places that have been making news?

I don't know what I believe anymore, because everything has gotten so strange and so convenient over the past three or so years. I mean, the Bush* administration is so lucky to have the media mouthpiece there at every turn.

I was thinking, why is Aaron Brown in Pakistan and why is he holding an interview in Pakistan with Colon Powell? The whole thing was fishy. I would have thought that Brown would have gone to Madrid, not Pakistan.

I agree, Fox are all bushistas and if they brake the news, they would have no credibility. The bush/cheney control freaks needed a more reputable network than Fox. Not that CNN is any better. It's all controlled news to help get votes for little man bush. Well, capturing Saddam didn't help. What makes them think that Ossama will help get votes for idiot bush. 22. CNN had Brown on reporting "on assignment" from Iraq after the bombing

yesterday and he sounded like he had an ear piece telling him what to say. The report followed an "outstanding" report from one of CNN's Iraqi full time based reporters who said: "Despite what they tell you in Washington, things are not going well..." (I can't remember the CNN regular embed's name, but it was posted here on DU, yesterday, how good his reporting was where he criticized the Bushies).

They got to Brown later and he really seemed out of it...that's why I said he was getting info from an ear piece.

Yes...I think they are about ready to unveil the dead, dying, fake or real Osama. They needed some good news. Whether it's real good news or fake..doesn't matter to them, when they own almost all of the media.

The CNN Male reporter they don't own but then he won't last long doing "honest" reporting. Look at what happened to Peter Arnett. :-(
