Hispanic and Asian populations in the United States will triple by 2050, when whites will be about half of the total U.S. population, according to projections released today by the U.S. Census Bureau.

Lately, I've heard many excuses for why we should stop or slow down immigration (i.e., pollution, terrorism, resources, space, economic concerns). In light of the recent census projections, will those convenient excuses prompt a ban on immigration?

An ATTEMPT at a ban? Certainly.

3. I think the ban would succeed

The excuses that have nothing to do with race will be used. Overpopulation, a lack of resources for all, the US becoming a Third World country. Those are the type of comments I'm seeing from people on the Yahoo News boards. I would not be surprised at all if we had a ban, in the name of safety. Also, look for the laws regarding who can / can't hold office to change as well. If this is true, many people living right now will live to see it. Of course, by then, maybe all the races will have intermingled and race will be irrelevant.

Most of those "non-whites" are already here. (Hey, some of them were here from the beginning.) And they have the nerve to reproduce.

Although I'm sure we'll hear some whines from the neo-Know-Nothings.
