Al-Qaeda endorses Bush (Reuters)
WE WANT BUSH TO WIN

The statement said it supported U.S. President George W. Bush in his reelection campaign, and would prefer him to win in November rather than the Democratic candidate John Kerry, as it was not possible to find a leader "more foolish than you (Bush), who deals with matters by force rather than with wisdom."

In comments addressed to Bush, the group said:

"Kerry will kill our nation while it sleeps because he and the Democrats have the cunning to embellish blasphemy and present it to the Arab and Muslim nation as civilisation."

"Because of this we desire you (Bush) to be elected."

1. So far, Bush has given Bin Laden all his demands
He has all but completely polarized the Muslim world against Israel and the United States, he has caused US troops to be moved out of Saudi Arabia, and he has caused our civil liberties and dignity to be cast down in ruin.

7. And . . .
He's caused a split in the Western allies and increasing polarization amongst Americans.

They must be dancing a jig over in those caves.

3. Love that line about the Democrats.
In other words, through diplomacy, the Democrats seduce the Arab world with westernization. The Republicans, on the other hand, are reliving Medieval times.

4. But he had to.
Blood is thicker than water.
He may be a mad dog terrorist, but he *is* a bin Laden after all.

6. You've got that right.
Personally I think many of these "terror letters" are totally bogus. But, then again who knows... They seem to also threaten Oslo where I come from. It is slightly worrying.

they'll get that "holy war" they wanted (also on PNAC's agenda) if he steals another 4 years!

11. how true - remember Rummy's leaked memo?
In his "leaked" memo, Rummy worried that we were creating more terrorists than we were capturing/killing.

12. and you believe this?
if it really came from al qaeda then you can't believe a word of it. Do you think they are dumb enough to tell us wht is going to work for them? That's kind of ridiculous

14. Yes, they are that "dumb"
terrorists are ALWAYS sending out messages about what will "work for them", it's how they keep themselves in the news and keep their intended victims frightened (remember-terrorist acts are ment to strongarm others into giving into their demands. If their demands aren't known, why would they bother)?

It only makes sense that they would hope for another four years of *- he helps them recruit for their much anticipated "Holy war", while Dems would threaten them with the allure of real democracy, thus weakening their ranks and putting off the much desired holy war. Bush* helped them to change and weaken America, we're deep in debt from the idiotic Iraq war and it's only getting worse! Our democracy may no longer exist. They got EXACTLY what they wanted!

16. I fear that we too, are way too dumb.
Bush and his whole exercise in giving more power to religion in general will have a heavy price that the average person can not visualize. People want it to be true that belief in something can and will allow us to ignore the realities of government debt. The Republicans did have one redeeming quality, which was more sound money management. It appears that they decided it was costing them in the election booth, so now they want to run up the National debt, but on the wrong things.

17. so they are trying to strong arm us into reelecting Bush?
while Bush may be playing into their hands at the same time this could backfire on them. So what's the point of releasing a letter that, if taken seriously, will have the opposite of the desired effect? If we do take this statement as truth then wouldn't americans vote Bush out and thus backfire on alqaeda? It's too simple

The Bush stuff especially. It sounds like the kind of thing that Karl Rove would plant if he were working for our side.

19. Like Smirko and Osama say: "In business, never burn your bridges."
Bush & Bin Laden - George W. Bush Had Ties to Billionaire bin Laden Brood

The unexplained death of Salem, Osama bin Laden's oldest brother, in 1988, brought to an abrupt end a long and intriguing relationship between President Bush and the head of the bin Laden family fortune.

By Roger Miller

EXCERPT...

Osama embraced Islamic fundamentalism and is now the world's most wanted man. "Salem went on to become a business partner of the man who is leading the hunt for his brother," the Daily Mail's Peter Allen said. "In the 1970s, he and George W. Bush were founders of the Arbusto Energy oil company in Mr. Bush's home state of Texas."

President Bush and the bin Laden family have been connected through dubious business deals since 1977, when Salem, the head of the bin Laden family business, one of the biggest construction companies in the world, invested in Bush's start-up oil company, Arbusto Energy, Inc.

James R. Bath, a friend and neighbor, was used to funnel money from Osama bin Laden's brother, Salem bin Laden, to set up George W. Bush in the oil business, according to The Wall Street Journal and other reputable sources.

Through a tangled web of Saudi multi-millionaires, Texas oilmen, and the infamous Bank of Credit and Commerce International, Bush was financially linked with the bin Laden family until Salem met an untimely end in a freak flying accident near San Antonio in 1988.
