TX22: Can Tom DeLay be defeated? National Priority
http://www.takingontomdelay.com/

Tom DeLay thinks he is the most powerful man in America, and doesn't hesitate to let everyone know. In May 2003, the Washington Post reported that DeLay was asked not to smoke a cigar in a federal building (which is against the law). Before storming out, he told everyone,

"I AM the federal government."

Here are the latest headlines exposing Tom DeLay's arrogance and abuse of his position. You can help remove this power-monger from office by contributing to Richard Morrison's campaign.

http://www.richardmorrisonfordistrict22.com/

Morrison wins Dem primary with 71% of the vote.

Tom DeLay has represented the 22nd Congressional District for two decades. Tom DeLay has ruffled plenty of feathers in the last year, facing criticism for Texas redistricting and his political action committee.

But DeLay is still heavily favored to win the district which covers Fort Bend County, Brazoria County, as well as part of Harris and Galveston counties.

"We are going to get rid of Tom DeLay," Richard Morrison says. “We’re going to send him back to Sugar Land and let him kill some bugs.”

--------

If we don't try, DeLay wins by default. But DeLay surely ensures his own victory, since he designed the redistricting. What should be our game plan?

1. DeLay is, without a doubt, one of the most negative influences in Congress
It is easy to hope that he will be hoist on his own petard, like Newt, but I do not think that this will happen, even if he is given enough rope to hang himself.

Tell me what I can do, personally? I live in Texas, quite near Sugarland.

2. Shackle the Bugman tightly to Shrub, Iraq and economy/jobs.
A sink-with-the-scow theory.

5. I am the federal government
this is exactly the usual expression used by dictators and members of Stalinian party . How strange that the "great minds" think alike.....

6. I believe the last person to utter those words was
Napoleon: "L'etat, c'est moi", translated: I am the state.

Looking forward to BugMan's Waterloo.

Malheureusement Napoleon n'etait pas le dernier a s'etre identifier a son auguste personne. C'est la reaction primaire de tous petits esprits assoiffe d'autorite quel que soit le niveau de leur pouvoir . Je continue a l'entendre.....take care

My take on this is that absolute power always corrupt absolutely and then the corruption is the wakening factor for those who need to smell something in order to see the whole picture.....the fives sens when they work properly make up usually for a damaged brain

11. Take a lesson from Spain, my friends!
Look, okay? Spain was there all along, against the war in Iraq, and we are just now seeing the fruits of those sentiments.

What makes you think that the citizens of Sugarland, TX are not of the same mind?

Stop being so negative! This is where you begin to change your world! It is much easier getting such an evil force and DeLay out of office than the President! Don't you see that?

12. I wish you were right
Look at the polls if we can trust them.. will tell you that half of the population supports what is going on. Am I wrong?

15. THAT is my point, don't you see?
Here you have this small little congressman; and this small little area! Can't we effect change much easier here, in this area, than in the presidential election. SHOULDN'T we have, before this jerk could do the damage he has done?

The Democratic Party needs to WAKE UP!

The Republicans are going to take over if we do not!

DeLay is where it starts! It takes much less to defeat Delay than it does to defeat a presidential candidate; even one who has screwed up so inexorably as GW Bush.

16. hello
a cynical is an optimistic well informed...well you are absolutely right and trust me I have been at forefront of all battles for human dignity and still ....what makes me sick is to see embarrassment and worries in the eyes of those who have a lot of money when I talk about the issues that should matter to anyone with a little of perspective .....

his right-wing racist district will keep putting the chemical boy out there...we have to somehow tie him to a BBQ spit and roast the fucker for hours, baste him with some real good sauce and feed him to the pests, rats and insects who are waiting for his chemical polluting ass.

17. Kick
Consider giving a small amount to Richard Morrison, perhaps. A little enough to be almost insignificant in cost, but enough to cover processing a credit card. It will add up. My contribution waits, pending my being hired.
