Governor Perfidious wants 2 new stadiums! Star Tribune can shove a ...
Their morning paper pissed me off. Governor "We can't afford all these social services and roads and everything" now thinks we can afford to pay 2/3rds the cost of two stadiums, whose total is $1 BILLION. http://www.startribune.com/stories/587/4666168.html

Worse, the Mpls STAR TRIBUNE paper had a bunch of faces of people who AGREED with this bull plop. Not ONE dissenter. (can't show you the paper, I'll scan it later.)

The next time Strib calls, I'm going to let them know where they can shove their fascist newspaper.

And oooooooooh, all the jobs to created! Yeah, minimum wage part time no bennies bullshit jobs. Uh-huh. That's great, Governor Perifidious.

Worst of all, Tom Bernard of the KQRS morning show was kissing and licking the governor's globby arse on the radio this morning. Gee Tom, remember when you were pissing and moaning about all the sports teams striking, not to forget all those times you call yourself an independent Democrat yet give republicans 110% airtime for free campaigning? It's hard to get links of a morning show and the internet is devoid of anti-Barnyard sites as well...

4. Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel did a fantastic story on that
A few weeks ago HBO Real Sports did a really good expose on how Bud Selig scammed the people of Wisconsin into paying for the new stadium, claiming it would increase revenue sharing which would get pumped back into the team, etc. Two state legislators are so pissed off about the situation they are going to conduct an audit of the Brewers' books to see where the money went. Turns out the team stiffed the taxpayers, and the Selig family wants to sell the team now.

Isn't it interesting the new stadium increases the value of the team something like 300%? And now they want to sell the team...hmm...

3. I can't blame you.
I don't know anybody who likes him right now.

Despite the Swaztika-Tribune's all kiss-up policy and Tommy B's bollocks, I'm not hearing a good thing about this stadium situation from THE PEOPLE. WTF happened to THE PEOPLE? Especially the ones who can't afford the exorbitant prices to go waste 3 hours of game from a bad seat plus 5 more in driving time, and those who don't care about the sport? These overpaid toddlers lost me totally after their strike in 1994. Not that they had me before, but I lost it then.

America is bizarro-world.

And AVOID all surrounding restaurants and stores in the area. Taxes for them will go up to help pay for these monstrosities.

Let the teams leave. Let's be visionary Minnesotans and show we won't stand for corporate welfare or capitulating to corporate thievery!

5. Take comfort in knowing
there was as much anger directed at Pawlenty at the caucuses as there was at Bush. At the rate he's going he won't last past 2006 (when Mike Hatch takes him on)

I heard part of that interview with Barnyard this morning - Pawlenty came on whining that the DFL is even blaiming him for it snowing (No, Tim, you're being blamed for the shoddy state of snow plowing). I didn't hear the whole thing - I keep KQ on my clock alarm because it never takes them too long to say something that causes me to leap from my bed and shut them off.

I was listening to them one morning during the 2000 election (before Wellstone was killed) when they had Coleman on. Normie said Bush* was a regular guy you could sit and "have a beer with". I tried calling in to ask about drinking beer with Bush, but they didn't let me on.
