Where was Homeland Security in Mississippi?
A racist lunatic strolls into America's largest defense contractor carrying two long guns without anybody even noticing or trying to stop him. What's keeping spies and saboteurs out?

Never mind extraordinary measures...where the hell is EVERYDAY security?

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=519&e=2&u=/ap/20030708/ap_on_re_us/plant_shooting

"MERIDIAN, Miss. - A factory worker known as a racist "hothead" who talked about killing people opened fire with a shotgun and a rifle at a Lockheed Martin plant Tuesday, leaving five fellow employees dead before committing suicide."

Write your Congresspeople.....why was there no security at Lockheed?

2. Sigh
Another one of those lawful gun owners. We'll never have homeland security until we make sure dangerous weapons are no longer in the hands of those nuts!

4. No, that only holds true in Iraq, not the good ole USofA
Sarcasm off. You know he needed that semiautomatic rifle for his deer hunting!

5. Exactly so
Needless to say, the "Bulletsforbrains" crowd this morning is gloating that no laws could have "prevented" this....not that they're willing to see if any would.

3. The "Ethics & Sensitivity Training Session" triggered his attack!
According to the New York Times article, he "walked out of an ethics and sensitivity training session at his factory this morning, returned moments later with a semiautomatic rifle and a shotgun, and opened fire. . . "

Anyone else been forced to sit throught one these BS programs presented by national training consultants - who typically come in to an organization with absolutely no idea of the inside politics and nepotism, and which married managers are sleeping with and outrageously favoring one of their staff, and spout off all these bromides about employees' rights and how we should complain to our supervisors when they treat us badly. Right! Mr. Smith, I just want to call you to task for the fact that you and your girlfriend are taking three hour lunch breaks, and she gets in late and leaves early, and I have to do all her work.
