Yet another convert (from Bu$h)
Captain S. called me today. Great guy. Airbus A-320 captain. He chuckled and asked if I had received the picture he and his wife had sent me. Yes, I said, I had just gotten it at the rural post box. It was a carefully card-boarded RNC picture of Bu$h and Pickles. Captain S. loved the joke. So did I. Then he said, for about the tenth time, "You were right in 2000. We are both so sorry we voted for Bu$h. Not this year!"

1. Soooo great to hear that
Wish more pilots at the big Airline in Dallas would consider not voting for the * It amazes my husband who flys the A300 out of New York how so many of these guys and girls could possibly vote for the jerk after taking such huge pay cuts. Maybe they will start to see the light. Tell your friends thanks from 2 other airline employees.

Thanks. I know the type at the big Dallas airline. And at my smaller Pittsburg/Charlotte airline. They are learning, though.

6. Isn't US Airways more of a.........
Philadelphia/Charlotte airline right now? Pittsburgh got whacked in this last downturn. I personally think it's a shame given the fact that PHL is an operational disaster, while Pittsburgh built a fantastic facility which has none of PHL's problems.

7. ? for pilots (kind of ot)
I've always thought that a lot of commercial pilots started in the service. One of the things that I've read was that the plane Shrub learned to fly was about to be retired so that's why he didn't show up. Is it that difficult to go from one kind of plane to another?

Just curious.

8. Short answer, yes and no.
Depends on the complexity of the aircraft. For more on Bu$h's short, sweet career flying F-102s see:
