Its TURNING Folks. That Tide. That RED Tide. Its Turning
i believe it started last night around the time i posted Wolfie's "Breaking" News that B*sh lied. The Tide is rolling in. CNN, CSPAN, MSNBC, Drudge, Imus, NYTimes, WP, WSJ, Mirror, BBC, etc...etc...etc...

9/11 comission stonewalling
B*sh Lied
Blair Lied
Forged Docs
Powell Lied
Pentagon running foreign policy
CIA "reports"
Intelligence Briefings ignored or "misinterpreted"
etc...
etc...
etc...
etc...

it doesn't (CAN'T) look good for the chimp-in-chief now. Saw a press conference from Africa early this morning and even the CNN butt-boy said "THE PRESIDENT DODGED THE REAL QUESTIONS ON IRAQ'S (SUPPOSED) NUCLEAR ARMS"

it doesn't look good.

This weekend I will be watching the Tide very closely from my vacation spot in Maine. Since I have no boat, and like to fish, it is well known that the best time to catch Striped Bass is when the Tide is coming in. See when the Tide comes in, so does the bait, and the big boys blindly follow.

When the tide comes in, its the best time to "hook" one of those lunkers.

The Tide is coming in. The "Bait" is coming home.

Let's HOOK the bastards!

PEACE

2. I'm hoping you're correct
Bush Inc. may be the huge monstrosity many of us fear it is, but if enough of us keep gnawing at its foundation of deceit its own weight of lies and greed will make it collapse.

7. I noticed that too
I'm sort of feeling like I got my hopes up for nothing at this point.

I assumed it would be the lead story in all newspapers today and that's not even close to reality. I'm starting to believe that it's a lost cause and democracy is over...these MOTHERFUCKERS have stolen our country from us!

14. Africa visit
Did KnightRidder talk about Bush locking away the people of Gorre Island in a fucking FOOTBALL stadium during his visit?????? Probably not......I guess it is up to all of US not to let these issues be buried -- to keep bitching and writing and calling in (and getting cut off, yeah) and bringing it up in conversations. Now is NOT the time to be "polite".......the meglomaniac must be brought down (and those in it with him)......
now, assuming Bush would do the right thing for the first time in his miserable life, would we HAVE to accept Cheney?? I mean, they're all in it up to their necks.......trading one lying murdering hypocrite for another is not exactly the best tradeoff........We need to clean house thoroughly.....this is OUR country. And while we're at it, let's clean out Congress and the House and get real PEOPLE in there,,,,,,not just millionaires looking to line their own pockets.

11. Sorta like when Cronkite declared Vietnam lost?
Hmmm...interesting theory.

One thing I know for certain: we HAVE to keep pressuring the news organizations. We've been critical of them in the past; let's tell them that they are on the right track now, and give them MORE information if we have it.

15. Maybe this is it
I too have been struck by the sheer number of news stories touching on White House dishonesty in the last few days -- and on a wide range of subjects too! I'm almost tired of saying it, but gosh -- maybe ONE of these things will finally take hold.

Of course bush has his defenders, but I say, "Bring 'em on!".

16. Front Page Headline In Chicago Tribune
In 2" letters, that Critics Pushing War Inquiry. Subhead was about the Niger issue and the first paragraph described, in very plain terms, that folks are very upset and they want answers. When the Trib prints this as BIG news, it's BIG news.

Of course, DeLay is quoted as saying it's all partisan politics. What an idiot that guy is. Hopefully he'll go down with the ship.

17. From LBN:
Edited on Wed Jul-09-03 08:58 AM by chiburb
This was the banner headline in the (print edition) Chicago Tribune this morning. I'm not sure we need another thread about yellowcake, but I'm posting this because it is significant that a conservative, mainstream newspaper chose to highlight the whole issue. They don't use the L word, but they give ample space to Waxman and Graham.

Drips turning to trickles...

Snip:

July 9, 2003

WASHINGTON -- Troubled by a White House admission that a prewar claim about Iraqi uranium purchases may have been false, critics intensified their demands Tuesday for an investigation into whether the Bush administration intentionally exaggerated intelligence to justify a war with Iraq.

The low-key White House comments late Monday night, backing off President Bush's assertion in his State of the Union address that Iraq sought to buy weapons-grade uranium in Africa, were seen as the latest erosion of the administration's prewar case for the overthrow of Saddam Hussein.

Snip:

"Did the president know about it?" asked Sen. John Rockefeller (D-W.Va.), the ranking member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, which is conducting a closed-door review of prewar intelligence gathering and analysis. "Who decided this was something they could work with or use? How was it vetted?"

Rockefeller said it was "very clear to me" that the information about Iraq buying uranium from Africa "was discredited a long time ago" and he said the White House should have retracted its claim sooner. "The whole question of how that got in that speech has to be followed through," Rockefeller added.
