Ed Schultz just said on his show that he and his wife were in Washington, D.C. on Sept. 11, 2001, meeting with one of their senators about a farm subsidy bill, and that as the office buildings were being evacuated in the hour after the plane hit the Pentagon, he talked briefly with Alabama Republican Sen. Richard Shelby, who is one of the higher-ups on the Senate Intelligence Committee, and that Shelby told him, "We knew this was coming. We just didn't know exactly when."
THINK about this, DUers! Think about what it means! Think about it in connection with the fact that the terrorist attacks were absolutely the BEST thing that could have happened to the Bushies in terms of their support among the American electorate and their ability to pursue their agenda.
It's really disturbing to think that the president of the United States would intentionally ALLOW something like this to happen. But I really think it's strange that Bush did not look the slightest bit surprised when he was informed about the attacks while he was reading to the schoolchildren, that he stayed away from D.C. for six weeks before the attack (was one of those planes supposed to hit the White House?), that John Ashcroft stopped flying on commercial aircraft the month before the attacks ...
I could go on and on, and we've all heard about all of this on this message board for months and months, but it bears repeating. And what does all this add up to? I don't think anybody ought to be wearing tinfoil hats any more when they express suspicions like mine. It's gone way beyond the conspiracy-theory level.
And I do believe that what Ed Schultz just said on his show is a bombshell revelation.
