Good grief. Reuters can't bring itself to call terrorists terrorists.

Chanting "Cowards" and "Killers," millions of protestors packed rainswept streets across Spain Friday condemning the country's worst ever guerrilla attack which killed at least 199 people.

Jesus Christ, why can't Reuters call the perpetrators of this attack terrorists? What is the point of going out of the way to attach the far more flattering term "guerrilla" to the people who murderer 199 innocent civilians?

Am I the only one who is outraged by this?

1. I heard a motivation for this:

I heard something about Reuters avoiding the term "terrorist" in general, after Bush started using it all the time to push his agenda. Something about trying to preserve the neutrality of their reports by avoiding US-biased language, especially terms that were becoming to politically loaded. Anybody else?

Noble goal, but makes reporting more difficult, especially when every term regarding these kinds of attacks is very loaded.
