has black teeth? It would be so difficult for me to hold an interview w/o looking at them w/disgust. I can understand that regular folks like us might not be able to afford dental insurance, but this guy's on the Bush-Cheney campaign team! You know he's got money. Wouldn't you think shrub or somebody would pull him aside and say "Dude, you're going on national television representing my campaign! Clean that fucking black shit off your fucking teeth! It's repugnant!" I don't know. Maybe they're hoping a guy with black teeth will seem relatable to poor southerners w/no dental insurance.

What jumps to mind:I don't care about the color of his teeth. I care about the content of his character.......
appearances can be deceiving.

I do see your point, however, that these people are slick campaigners and propaganda artists and it seems they would project a perfect images as opposed to their imperfect reality.

... but I feel uneasy about the way people package themselves for media consumption.

I am also feeling a twinge about what you might say about me or people I care about if we were not "veiled" by the internet on this forum.
I am now going to go check the appearance of my teeth--I know they are not black but since I don't bleach them and I am getting older.......
