Little tommy delay may be in trouble
Good article in Salon today about delay's financial dealings during recent elections in Texas. A district attorney is on to him and now the republicans want to cut off his funding. "How did a bunch of supposedly shrewd political operatives make so many mistakes in one election campaign? IN THEIR ARROGANCE, THEY ASSUMED NO ONE WOULD HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE. The Texas Attorney General is a former KARL ROVE CLIENT, who has shown little interest in suing republicans." The governor of texas, rick perry wants the DA investigated.

2. They want to move the public integrity unit under the AG's office, too.
As of right now, it's being handled by the Travis County DA, Travis County being the county in which Austin is located.

The Republicans are really going to push for this, so Greg "I'm a Big-Ass Hypocrite" Abbott can sweep this under the rug.

3. "THEY ASSUMED NO ONE WOULD HOLD THEM...
ACCOUNTABLE" -- that is the frightening thing. With Bush and his cabal controlling all three branches of our government (including the ultimate arbiter, the USSC)and our free press, there is no one to hold them accountable. That is what we have to change, and maybe we're seeing the first small steps in that direction.

5. Right!!! They didn't think they'd be held accountable.
So what are we going to do when we kick the creame the repubs in the fall? Take them to court and put them in jail where they belong.

The new president will have access to everything Bush has been stonewalling. I hope he'll send all those treasonous bastards to answer before congress for their purgery, who lied about Iraq.

If we get a chance we shouldn't just forget the corruption of past politicians we should prosecute it. This will prevent further corruption.

The problem may be that there are scandals some Dems have been involved in too, and they would rather ignore scandals on both sides.
