So I listed to Oxy Rush for his fist 15 minutes today, he's in denial
The theme was that what conservatives were seeing was not actually happening.

I'll paraphrase what he said and then I'll type my comments in bold.

"Voter turnout was low in Florida so that means there is no groundswell of support for Kerry."

Oxy Boy, the primaries have already been decided. I think you are also conveniently leaving out the record turnout in most states before and on Super Tuesday. Heck, 1.1 million Democrats voted in the Ohio Primary, and the race was pretty much decided already anyways.

"George Bush is as popular as he ever was, the media is making all of this up. There is no groundswell of support for Kerry."

Oxy Boy, perhaps you are right about Kerry, but there is definitely a groundswell of support against Bush. Heck, we could have nominated a coffee table and we'd still be winning in most polls.

"The media is exagerating anger against Bush."

Well Oxy, if half of America says they are "angry" than I'd guess a lot of people are angry.

"The polls show that 80% think the War on Terra is most important."

Perhaps Oxy, you are forgetting that a large percentage of those people don't think he's doing a good job in that war!

"The economy is coming back and Bush is responsible for that."

Missed the whole "Coming back" part. Show me 2.6 million jobs and then you can talk. Heck, how about ONE new job from the time he took over in 2001. At this pace, he'll reach the ONE job 2 years after a 2nd term... which isn't gonna happen.

Overall, you can tell they're increasingly desperate and in denial. They simply don't understand how the people are waking up to what a miserable failure Bush has actually been.

1. The economy is coming back
every right wing mindless drone on tv and radio is blabbing this nonsense but that's what they do best. Also, Senator Kerry proposed TOTALLY FUCKING DESTROYING THE INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY with his bill in 95. A thoughtful look at his bill will dispel such nonsense.

To my fellow liberals, fight the fight, spread the truth every day.

3. It's been coming back for years
I remember hearing in early 2002 that we were prime for a huge economic recovery by that summer. We keep hearing that the economy is turning the corner. It ain't happening. They can beat that drum forever if they want, but almost every unemployed American out there is probably going to vote for Kerry. Good luck, assholes!!!

5. dont know the morality but
do see the funny. what these people do consistantly that i think is the funniest, when they talk kerry, really they are talking self. doesnt blowing the money way before the election sound more like what bush is doing with his war chest than kerry.

6. "Blow the wad'
actually, when I was growing up, meant to spend all of your money frivolously. There is also a meaning regarding the misfiring of muskets. I doubt very much that Rush understands that it has a sexual meaning now.

12. But Rush will use a money analogy
at any time. He speaks Money better than he speaks English.

9. Misfiring muskets
and muzzle loaders of all types...

Old fashioned guns were loaded in stages. First you put in the gunpowder, then wadding (paper or cotton) to hold the powder in place, then the bullet. In the heat of battle, inexperienced troops would put in the powder and wadding, then forget the bullet... sending a cloud of paper/cotten material at the enemy... To 'shoot one's wad' was to do something wasteful and inneffective. A 'wad' came to mean money during the civil war, where (rumor has) Confederate troops used Confederate money as wadding... shooting the wad meant to waste money, either because you had money to waste or the money was worthless.

I leave it to someone with a dirty mind to say how 'shooting a wad' got a sexual meaning.

10. Today was, "brainwash the dittoheads" day. I listened too..
He is in denial about everything. Everyday he discusses his case, FIRST! Then tries to spin the bullcrap you listed. He's very predictable. Yet his mental calisthenics gives me the chuckles.

11. I noticed that
It's all about laying out this weird conspriracy "Everyone is against us, but it's all a mirage" thing and then he discusses everything like in that context.
