Need some help re; Tenet's testimony (Did he admit * lied?)
I need a link to the comment he made about the policy makers not adhering to the unique interpretation of the information. I can't recall the specifics but it smacked of ultraspin doublespeak. I am pretty sure he admitted the policy makers (*/Cheney) lied. Any diggers out there?

Knight Ridder Newspapers

HUMMMMMM facts misread, but not mislead ........so the reading and comprehension grade would be low.....

3. I watched the conference
when Teddy Kennedy asked him if he ever told Bush or Cheney that they completely misstrued the reports Tenet gave to them, Tenet balked and tried to sidestep--it was obvious he tried obfucating with spin, saying nothing. Kenney held fast--and Tenet continued to spin for a while, obviously uncomfortable--finally Teddy said "You can't have it both ways" and that, imo, is what Tenet was and is trying to do. He finally in a small way admitted that he tell Cheny and others, in private that they were overinflating the CIA reports--who knows. Some reports are claiming Tenet let the cat out of the bag on Bush--I did not see that at all. Tenet does have a habit of shaking his head back and forth as if he were saying "no" -- I watched for that habit also as well as the screwing up of the left eye and grimace on the left side of the mouth.

Tenet's whole testimony, especially when pertinent questions were being asked, was one of avoidance of any responsibility. I do not think it is in any way a smoking gun and do not see what others here see--Tenet and the CIA drip drip drip--I don't see it and have not seen it.

2. I watched some of it yesterday
There were moments when the questions were so
sticky for Tenet that his answers were completely
and utterly confusing ..

I also would like to read the transcript .

6. NYT wrote a piece on the hearing
George J. Tenet, the director of central intelligence, told a Senate committee on Tuesday that he had privately intervened on several occasions to correct what he regarded as public misstatements on intelligence by Vice President Dick Cheney and others, and that he would do so again.

You can also view Tenet's testimony here: Levin's questions begin at 1:02 in the video and Kennedy's questions begin at 1:17. Both are VERY telling.
