3. This is only the second time

I've seen reference to the "possible assassination attempt". This has been missing from a lot of discussions about what actually happened that day.

Did the Senate 9/11 Commisssion address that? I've never seen any other links except in web-based chronologies.

4. it's weird how little these events are talked about

Thanks for posting this, I'm glad it's so long, Bush's behavior on that day never made sense to me. I'm sure I'm not alone, I doubt if I could find anyone who could make sense out of what he did, but the media as far as I know didn't put a whole lot of effort into figuring it out.

I think it's a strange gap in our knowledge, a little bit similar to Bush's missing year in the National Guard. These both sound like historical mysteries about the life of a long-dead president, instead of basic questions about the guy that currently is the president.
