Is a Liberal just a Guilty Conservative?
Could that really be true? They accept the system, as it is, but feel just a tad dirty about it? They want to adjust that system (the one that accepts Poverty as an acceptable condition) but retain their personal situation? But are "They" really a "They"?

No. That's too constricting of a label IMO.

But perhaps it does apply to some?

PS~ PLease flame me for pointing out the collusion:-)

2. I'm only playing off of a Stan Goff comment.
He made the approximate statement in an article that was posted here recently.

I've asked myself lately if I was a Liberal..
Supertramp...
====================================
When i was young
It seemed that life was so wonderful
A miracle, oh it was beautiful, magical
And all the birds in the trees
Well they´d be singing so happily
Oh joyfully, oh playfully watching me
But then they sent me away
To teach me how to be sensible
Logical, oh responsible ,practical
And they showed me a world
Where i could be so dependable
Oh clinical, oh intellectual, cynical

There are times when all the world´s asleep
The questions run too deep
For such a simple man
Won´t you please, please tell me what we´ve learned
I know it sounds absurd
But please tell me who i am

Now watch what you say
Or they´ll be calling you a radical
A liberal, oh fanatical, criminal
Oh won´t you sign up your name
We´d like to feel you´re
Acceptable, respectable, oh presentable, a vegetable!

At night when all the world´s asleep
The questions run too deep
For such a simple man
Won´t you please, please tell me what we've learned
I know it sounds absurd
But please tell me who i am, who i am ,who i am.
======

Leave it to a band to say what we'd all like to say...

3. What is a liberal supposed to do about it?
Other than become a political activist?

One must work within the laws of the system, it's there to keep folks from starting a violent revolution.
