Peter Foster, the convicted conman whose lurid allegations about Tony Blair sparked angry denials from Downing Street over the weekend, is threatening to drop further bombshells if the prime minister does not "tell the truth" about his relationship with the former topless model Carole Caplin. Mr Foster today issued an ultimatum to the prime minister saying he would release details of "other relevant and corroborated facts" to the media if he does not receive a response to a series of sensational allegations within the next three days.
"In the past 48 hours I have been subjected in the media to allegations that I am a 'liar' and a 'fantasist' re: comments I made on Sunday March 6 2004, to an Australian newspaper in relation to British prime minister Tony Blair and his relationship with
'lifestyle guru' Carole Caplin," Mr Foster said in a statement to the media today.
"These allegations are despite the fact that throughout the Cheriegate affair, and my dealings with the Blairs, I was never caught out in a lie or forced to apologise for misleading anyone. My credibility on this issue is intact." Mr Foster, the former partner of Ms Caplin, is claiming that Cherie Blair's "style guru" enjoyed an "intense and close" relationship with the prime minister, took long woodland walks with him and even helped him choose his underpants.
SNIP!
Mr Foster told the Sun-Herald in Sydney on Saturday that Mr Blair was so close to Ms Caplin that he told her in April 2002 that George Bush intended to go to war with Iraq - a year before the military action. He also claims Mr Blair asked her advice on how to deal with his chancellor, Gordon Brown.
"The true relationship is between Carole and Tony. British people would be flabbergasted if they knew the extent to which Mr Blair is reliant on Carole," said Mr Foster in an interview with the newspaper.
"Carole coached him on how to handle people, how to handle situations, and how to present himself. She picked his clothes, right down to his underpants."

So basically Blair's "style guru" knew about war coming a year before the rest of us. Amazing. Even if it might not be true, its damned hilarious. Good going, Poodle.
