6. Some bozo congressman from OK, made a comment to that effec
He didn't say Kerry's name, but did say that, a vote against Bush was a vote for Hitler, Josh Marshall has a good take on it at TPM.

19. They're good at it
It is disheartening to realize that Republicans who say this crap only get away with it because it appeals to their constituents (at least the ones who bother to vote).

9. If you have to ask...
You may have a point, however he will spend the bulk of the hour discussing Gay Marriage. Also he will find a way to identify himself as a practicing Catholic.

Imagine if he was an Atheist, and brought this up every week?

11. Harken won't come up
There is too much bad news for Bush this week, they have to fill the hour with something, and the sharks ain't biting this time of year.

Harken won't come up, that would take journalistic integrity, something you're not likely to see on Meet the Toad.

MEET THE PRESS WITH TIM RUSSERT

Weekend Listings

Rudy Giuliani, Mary Matalin, and James Carville

To Appear as Guests on "Meet the Press"
Sunday, March 7, 2004

In an exclusive interview, Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City, will appear on this Sunday's "Meet the Press with Tim Russert" to discuss presidential politics, the war on terrorism, and President Bush's controversial usage of the September 11th attacks in the first political ads of his reelection campaign.

Then, the race is on. With the general election kicking off this week as a showdown between George Bush and John Kerry, we turn to the most famous political odd couple: Republican strategist Mary Matalin and Democratic strategist James Carville will join us to discuss Campaign 2004.

12. Hey it was just a prediction
But having Rudy on will be seen as an attempt to innoculate Bush from those ads.

23. They will stick to their scripts
Mary will stay on message with the steady leadership, war president spin, James will probably touch on the subjects I said wouldn't be mentioned (boy, crow sure tastes funny).

Rudy will spin like a top for Bush, not that he needs any incentive, this was his defining moment also. He has a giant size ego, so he can't help it, he has to back Bush.

13. Sadly, you probably have the "script" on this one! Russert gearing up
to grill Martha's Prosecutor and "What does Gay Marriage Do to Undermine America." I can hear it now...

14. Well, that's a no-brainer
You might as well have said 1970s Soviet Pravda and Isvestia were going to "avoid the topic of Gulags", or the Nazi Media of 1944 was going to ignore the topics of concentration camps, Zyklon-B, and Allied successes on D-Day.

I can't get used to living in a Totalitarian Nation. I can't get used to the dead cold certainty that 90% of my predictions have been right since the Bloodless Coup of 2000, simply because I stopped thinking of Amerika as a Republic and instead asked the question in my sig line.

Of course you are correct. 100% chance. Just like the Old Soviet Union.

21. giuliani is not a sure thing
I dont think having giuliani on the ticket will help in any way. After all he is associated with 9/11 and his level of competence during the crisis far outstrips bush's obvious chicanery by refusing to do anything while it was happening.
