1. As far as I know
They might get into the southwest corner. They are mostly looking to cover NYC, Westchester and parts of Jersey. I bet you might be able to pick them up, depending on where you live. If you live in Putnam, don't count on it. But who'd want to live there anyway?

2. Do you get Boston stations there?
They'll have a station in Beantown. Might try that.

4. Franken will debate coulter in May in Hartford
At the Connecticut Forum... sounds like a one-sided match. Or, to paraphrase my high school English teacher, a battle of wits with an unarmed person.

10. Still No Word From Central Air
It appears this network isn't a sure thing yet. There is only one confirmed affiliate in Chicago and a possible New York and L.A. affiliates have been named as well (I'm hearing one of two stations in New York). There have been no announcement from the network (nothing on their website) nor any announcement of license transfers from the FCC that would indicate ownership changes. The word had been that Central Air would own its stations.

This is a large undertaking that they're trying to move along at a fast pace...and not sure how solid their financial backing to do this is. Without this, Central Air faces the same fate as IE America and hundreds of stations and formats.

From one who suffers with non-stop hate radio...thank goodness for NPR, APR and Pacifica affiliates for the only real journalism and open discussion on radio...I welcome this new network...and look forward to listening and hopefully financially supporting the Chicago affiliate once it comes on the air. But I'm also speaking with 30 plus years of experience in broadcasting and knowledge of the byzantine ways this industry works.

I've seen way too many ventures launched with the best intentions only to collapse on their own designs or from setting unrealistic expectations. I hope this isn't another example...too many people have such high hopes on this.
