TBTM Action Alert! What's good for Stern is good for Ingraham!
Edited on Fri Mar-05-04 02:21 PM by americanstranger

If Howard got suspended by Clear Channel for indecency, they should be consistent and suspend Laura Ingraham, too.

Take action at http://www.takebackthemedia.com/ingraham.html

BTW - I know the banner says 'click here,' but clicking it won't get you to the page. Use the link! :)

MP3 and transcript of it on the page.
Specifically, her sidekick said the 'F' word. On air.

All you DUers who think Stern is so nasty should contact the FCC and Clear Channel and let them know that Ingraham's pretty nasty, too.

2. I dunno stranger
do we want to give her this much publicity?

I agree it's a double standard but look how Stern is becoming a hero because of the publicity he's generated. I'd rather that sweet Laura just talk herself into her well-deserved obscurity....

3. I see a difference.
Stern's telling the truth. Ingraham wouldn't know the truth if it walked up to her and gave her a tongue-kiss. (Eww.)

The only ones who would defend her are freepers, and who cares what they think? ;)

11. No, I see your point.
But Stern probably has about 20 times the audience Ingraham has, so her heroism would be kinda limited. :)

4. okay, i'm a TBTM fan but this is silly
because the incident took place in September,
and technically the Stern incident WAS only done AFTER they officially adopted these new 'guidelines'

i can't stand Clearchannel or Ingraham, but this case and action seems meritless...

just my 2 cents

6. Are you sure?
I swear I heard Stern say this morning that they are going after him for something that happened three years ago.

7. well, i tend to sleep while stern's on, don't listen anymore...
but i was under the understanding that this was about something that took place just a day or two after the new standards were implemented...

but, if they really are going after Sterm because of something in the past, then that changes everything of course and this Ingraham thing would make sense...

9. I think the Clear Channel thing
happened a few days after he spoke ill of the shrub. I think the FCC is coming down on him, in part, because a listener said the N-word on the air, and I think it was a few years ago.

I don't usually listen to Stern, but I have been tuning in for a portion of his show in recent days.

10. Bubba the Love Sponge was fired
for something he said in December of last year.

Silly? Nope. Relevant.

Clear Channel will surely be consistent and suspend Ingraham, right?

If they don't, that would lend some credence to the charge that Stern, Goyette and Walker were al fired for criticizing Bush.

Right?

We're trying to prove a point here.

8. I was listening to the Ingraham show a couple of weeks ago (I know)...
She was introducing David Corn and she referred to The Nation as "one of the few (the last?) remaining bastions of liberal journalism left in America". A long pause followed. She rallied and said "unless you consider X,Y & Z". She was rattled enough to include the Washington Times. I LMAO thinking of of the OMG looks in the room.

17. Leave it alone
Probably not even 1% of Americans have heard of Ingraham. Why repeat the Right's mistake and give publicity to an enemy? The best thing we can do is sit back and laugh while an angry Stern throws oodles of working class swing voters our way.
