I think that this gang of fools is the most desperate bunch of thugs that I have ever seen.. They have been doing so many irrational and dangerous things to our country, our constitution, our military, our environment..you name it .. I don't think they can "afford" to lose..

All the governmental machinations that they have set in motion would NEVER be willingly just "handed over" to a Dem...ANY Dem.. They plan to hold power by whatever means necessary..

It's really starting to scare me a little.:(

Well, Bush assuming the White House in January of 2001 was certainly a victory for bin Laden. If Gore had won, the special forces and missile ships ready to roll in Afghanistan would not have been sent home while we rewarded bin Laden's Taliban hosts for fighting drugs. The Hart-Rudman report warning of the dangers of terrorism and bin Laden would not have been ignored. The August 6, 2001 intelligence briefing that stated terrorists were going to fly planes into buildings would not have been met with John Ashcroft no longer flying commercial.

That is merely the opening salvo.

Far be it from the average American to realize that bin-Laden already won. Just look at what has happened to the nation. Fascism is no longer an abstract ideology practiced during the 1940's, it is knocking down the door right here.

But the real reason bin-Laden won, is because we remain in fear of threats that are possibly real, but most likely made up by the administration, of inevitable invasion of this nation. That is absurd, as those with more than 3 firing synapses know.

Fear is what motivates both bin-Laden and bush. As long as they can manipulate fear, they will continue to browbeat everyone that is malleable to their way of thinking.

Once the fear has dissipated, there is nothing left for them to move on. They are devoid of anything of substance.

Determined to use 911 as a pretense to get Saddam... Bush pulled intelligence and spec ops troops from Afghanistan and diverted them to the planned war against Iraq. In the process he gave Bin Laden a 12-18 month breather. Now, just in time for the election... Bush wants the attention back on Bin Laden who'd been given a holiday courtesy of Bush. Some war against terrorism.
