Another former bush voter weighs in
From an art message board I frequent:

I can't believe I voted for this guy. I must have been delusional. Too bad votes aren't like contracts, and you can pull your vote if you believe you entered into under dubious circumstances. I wonder how many people voted for this guy who have changed their minds since, regretting every minute of his presidency.

:) :) :)

1. There are so many of these stories...
And I just have to wonder: Is there any way that * has won enough Gore voters over to his side to offset the number of defections? (Plus more, since he actually lost to Gore.)

I honestly don't see how it's possible.

2. I'm impressed people actually admit voting for that incompetent SOB
I imagine it would be quite embarrassing.

3. I would never have voted for him, but ...
he did campaign as a moderate. I can see how an intelligent middle-of-the-road voter could have been fooled.

4. I disagree
anyone watching the debates should have known he was in way over his pinhead. It was quite obvious. Any research on his record in Texas would have told them the same thing.

5. you are right
plus his entire family's shenanigans and his own possibly illegal activities with Harken Energy; his close tie to Ken Lay; his unbelievably moronic giggle when he simply tossed off Tucker's request to have her death sentence changed to life on the desk; his swindling of texas govt funds to pay for his own team and the list goes on..There never was an excuse to vote for this despicable turd.

7. You're right...
but if you did not watch the debates you might beleive the pundits report who falsely reported that * was a winner....they did it on all of the debates.... even though he was a loser......

10. I agree with you there Daisey but
surely they did see this moron speak SOME time - EVERY TIME he speaks he's like a deer in headlights - absolutely terrible. Bush doesn't just LOOK like a moron - he speaks and behaves like one too - because he IS a moron.

6. Sorry. Don't buy it. His record of devastation and business failures
was very clear. Also, if you listen to him giving a speech or debating, it's crystal clear that he doesn't have a clue and he is willing to lie to your face.
These people were towing the party line without thinking at all.

8. uninformed
maybe an intelligent but woefully uninformed middle-of-the-road voter who never read a newspaper and knew nothing about Bush other than what their TV told them could buy that Dumbass Dubya was a "moderate".

11. So Glad . . .
you have seen the light!

I always say - if you work for a living, if you are an older American, if you are a woman, if you are gay, if you want good schools where you live, if you want police and fire protection, if you want a good infrastructure, etc. how can you ever vote for a Repukelican!

:hippie:

12. Just to clarify,
It's not me, it's someone from another message board. I'm a life long Dem and have only voted for Dems in the presidential elections.

It always makes me happy to see these types of conversion stories.

I can't think of anyone who has said they voted for Gore and now plans to vote for Bush. Not that they would necessarily tell me if they did!
