natural scientists as voting bloc?
This isn't really my area, so maybe an alert reader can offer some comments on whether the mainstream media has picked up on how organizations in the natural sciences might affect the election in 2004.

Thanks.

1. Stem cell research for one
I know all of my prof's hate Bush because he is trying to slow research in possible THE most important area right now. Cells that are going to be thrown away are not human lives, they are cells that are going to be thrown away anyway, we should get some use out of them- Like, i dunno, the cures for diseases?!?!

2. I think both sides assume
That scientists are going to go for the Democratic Candidate if not the Green. That's one reason why President Bush so cavelierly insults them. (The other reason? He's a nitwit).
