Bob Graham's bill S. 1980 is the companion bill to Rush Holt's House bill to provide voter verifiable paper audit trails for electronic voting.

Verified Voting.org has a big push going, asking everyone to flood Washington DC with phone calls and faxes to your Senators asking them to sign on as co-sponsors. If you can, make an extra call to Daschle's office, he thinks we should wait til 2006.

There are two other voting bills before the Senate, and neither Clinton's nor Boxer's will give us a paper-trail by November. Friendly legislators tell us that H.R.2239 is not likely to see much progress until the Representatives know which bill will emerge in the Senate.
