George Bush - The "Ly'in King"
Great editorial in the StarTribune today

http://www.startribune.com/stories/561/4640918.html

"In his State of the Union speech this year, Bush proclaimed: "For diplomacy to be effective, words must be credible -- and no one can now doubt the word of America."

"What? He said what?" came the world's reaction. But the president was simply following the Bush formula for dealing with a credibility problem: State the opposite and pretend it's true."

1. Lie big or stay home
That seems to be their motto. The more critical the issue, the more audacious the lie.

Oh, and tactic number two: If you plan to do something unethical, shrilly accuse your opponent of the same behavior FIRST.

2. Yep, he's teaching us a new brain game...
Our human programming is to take everyones words at face value. We have to relearn what we hear - we have to learn to turn it backwards to find the truth. It's just a matter of practice and alerting others.

3. The Soviet dilemna
All the other people who have ever been Tyrannized by Totalitarian Scum have this same problem.

Nothing new, but you are correct that until the people realize the Busheviks are as truthful as Bolsheviks, this will be a problem.

To be honest, it was a problem I'd hoped and prayed we would never face.

I remember reading "1984" "Animal Farm" and "Farenheit 451" and thinking to myself, "Thank God I don't live there!"

Now, thanks to the Imperial Family, every day brings us closer to those books.
