Kerry Bush debate

I know this is a cretinous question but im curious. Im not american so i dont know how this would play out, but supposing Kerry were to use the words of Jesus to put down bush's hypocrisies. For example - his no child left behind underfunded - suffer me the little children (sorry if i misquote not a bible reader)

1. Gov Granholm, did that in an interview - I think it's very effective

'…when he asked Granholm if she found it “interesting” that some “so-called Christians” preferred to cut money from some social services rather than yield on the $77 million state income tax cut that was scheduled for Jan. 1 and delayed in an uneasy compromise until July 1, Granholm uncharacteristically picked up the Bible and gave it a thump.

Citing “those who cloak themselves in a cape of religiosity” as some of “the biggest cutters,” Granholm quotes chapter and verse where the Lord says, “Whatsoever you do to the least of these, so also you do unto me.”

Adds Granholm in the interview: “That’s when I question whether somebody is really living out the faith that they profess.” '
