Bush/Cheney campaign strategy on the Connection
Right now Dick Gordon is interviewing some campaign mastermind for Boosh. Boston listeners -- on WBUR right now.

She's pretending they're going to run a positive campaign; even went so far as to congratulate Kerry on his victory.

Now she's painting Kerry as a negative campaigner, captive of special interests.

:puke:

i saw that they are taking what kerry and democrats say and just saying back. so as silly as it is to the people that dont follow they buy. they are just sitting their saying how stupid are these people i know. i try telling that to the bubbas in this area

ex: gulliani said last night the gay marriage thing, it is a wedge issue that the democrats want to get into. bush doesnt want to go their, he wants to talk jobs ect........

almost spit out my fresca in laughter hearing that

2. Josh Marshall says the WH is in "serious denial"
Another source of confidence I have stems from a briefing of sorts I heard last week summarizing the White House's outlook and strategy for the coming campaign. After hearing it, I came away thinking that they're in a serious state of denial about how this election is shaping up.

3. get ready for some serious negativity
I think they're going to going negative, and try to play the old Dukakis "liberal from Massachusetts" card.

I hope that Kerry gives a vigorous defense.

4. maybe negativity won't pull them through
When you're lost in the rain in Juarez
And it's Eastertime too
And your gravity fails
And negativity don't pull you through
Don't put on any airs
When you're down on Rue Morgue Avenue
They got some hungry women there
And they really make a mess outa you
