I Predict Another Cheney Heart Episode
and then he will retire from the ticket for "medical reasons" to save face. With his approval ratings in the toilet, Rove will determine that Guiliani will help bring Chimpy out of the cellar.

Why else is Cheney being interviewed ad nauseum and now Guiliani is showing up on the news shows?

They won't "drop" Cheney - it would be like admitting they are screwing up - sheeple will believe the heart story.

Agree?

4. Agreed. That would be like Cheney resigning from the presidency
He'll die in office before he will let that happen.

5. But I Think Rove Runs the Show Now, not Cheney
and Rove will die before he lets Chimpy lose, even if it means dumping Cheney. It seems to be what the hardline GOP wants now and Rove must bow to them.

Just my humble opinion, however.

7. Plays in our favor
Makes it easy to paint the GOP as a bunch of whackos in disarray.

6. Could go either way.
_IF_ they were smart, they would do what you propose.

On the other hand, these goofs have shown less and less intelligence as of late, and are clearly blinded by gargatuan egos. So they may actually believe they can hold power with the same old schtick.

8. Yes it is possible for Cheney to step down and still control it all
The Vice Presidency and its new occupant will return to the traditional role of being a no-show in terms of wielding power. While Cheney will become one of the numerous unaccountable advisers in the bowel of the WH or undisclosed location from whence he will continue to run things as before if * should get back into the WH.
