The presumed Democratic challenger is losing (Sampson). He advertised on DailyKos. Tamlyn did decent last time around in 2002, so she could take it to Colburn, who is a wing-nut. Gilchrest is actually fairly moderate and pro-environment.

We'll see how things go.

On edit: THe results from Kent Co. are in and it goes 1000 for Gilchrest, 200+ for Colburn...OUCH..maybe there won't be an upset...

1. I know Kostas Alexakis

and I can't believe he is running for Gilchrist's seat. Every year the MD Association of Counties has their annual conference in Ocean City and I used to go. Every year I'd end up with Kostas drinking in some bar. He used to talk about the Greek mafia in Baltimore, not that he was in it, but he knew everybody. I could never figure out what he did for a living. He'd set up organizations, troubleshoot for businesses and politicians, and fund raising.
