Is The Media Stupid or Just in Trouble?
I've been thinking of the possibility that CNN and other news media, are realizing that there is a solid number of people on the net who dislike the obvious misinformation and skirting of IMPORTANT issues.

The reason I say this, is because CNN and Fox have softened the appearance of their biasness. A very short-term solution.

You see, if the media was more business savvy they would actually have real debatable issues for people to seriously talk about. I mean... wouldn't it be nice to see more open debate like "Crossfire," which by-the-way used to be the norm 20 years ago? And wouldn't it be enlightening to just get real information from around the world from people who do not give us their opinions? I would think their ratings would improve, don't you?

So is the media business Stupid or are they Just in trouble? It's a HUGE gamble either way, and I think they are losing!

PS: never underestimate the people

2. It could be that their sponsors have come to realize that FAUX

and CNN are only reaching 50% of the possible number of viewers. Since the country seems to be evenly divided by their own skewed polls, I am sure that the numbers are far worse. These sponsors are saying hey we are not getting the best bang for our buck and are putting pressure on them to get more "Fair and Balanced" reporting to reach those of us that have tuned out. I think they also realize that more people are spending more time on the net and less on the propaganda tube as aresult of their obvious bias. Yes I would say that they are in a pickle. I would also be wary of the new improved "Unfair and Unbalanced" reporting. They are masters at soft spin, get their point across without being to obvious. They will find ways of wrapping neoconservatives in maple sugar.

3. I've Noticed the Slickness
Edited on Tue Mar-02-04 08:48 PM by stepnw1f
The problem is, the slickness gets cheesy. And once you get caught duping people, your credibility gets lost. Not only do people tune out, they find other means to gain information; always have, and always will. People are way too unpredictable to calculate what people will like and dislike. Shame, shame big media.

5. Fox took the ratings and this made credible networks
look at why . I personally think its the boldness of the bias which has made Fox go and unless CNN can get straight which side they want they come in second. If they would just pick our side and boldly show it without any apologies their ratings would soar. Bold Bias is whats needed CNN.
