Since you vote by mail how are your ballots tabulated? Is it done by Black Box also? What are your concerns? Is there any sort of paper trail?

And state law requires that there must be an audit trail throughout the process. County elections officials also maintain statistical records of such things as the number of balots received, date & time processed, the number of out of county ballots received, write ins, challanged and rejected ballots and so forth. In addition, there are signature cards on file that must match the signatures on the mail in ballot.

Of course, anyone familiar with BBV would point out that all of these measures are only effective in so far as they are implemented. Just because we have an audit trail doesn't mean that it's used. The scanning machines are still vulnerable to many of same schemes that plague DRE's. Just ask Chuck Hagel.
