5. Damn/ Over already
In a nutshell, Aristide said that he was forced out by US military and embassy. His security guards were told to stand down by US forces, and they did. US gov prevented more security from being flown in. He said that the translated resignation that CNN was peddling was a fake and not an accurate translation of his resignation in Creole, in which he stated that he was forced out.

from the Uniter, who doesn't engage in nation-building.

Does Bush ever tell the truth?

15. Post #8 refers to Bush lying, not Aristide.
The intention becomes quite clear when one actually reads the thread.

7. What I don't understand is why there was no interpretor?
Edited on Mon Mar-01-04 07:32 PM by RebelOne
Arstide's English was so halting. Why is there no one to speak to him in his native Haitian language? That way, I think we would get the real story a lot clearer. It's really difficult to understand him and what he is trying to say is not coming across.

12. F-ing CNN kept playing loops of footage w/sound during phone call
F-ing CNN kept playing loops of footage w/sound during phone call making it even harder to hear what Aristide was saying.
