2. Who do you think will do Kerry on SNL?
Hammond is good, but I still can't see him as Kerry. Loved him as The Donald last night, though. And I think he does Regis better than Regis does.

8. Already have someone doing it.
Can't remember his name. But he is good at it(so far).
Plus, he is one of the more funny members of the cast now.

3. Sounds like they like Kucinich, actually ...

"...won't lie or bully or recklessly lead ...someone whose humble, compassionate, responsible, fair, curious, unsanctimonious, given to thoughtful, nuanced positions ..."

Sorry, that ain't Bush OR Kerry.

4. Yeah, I found it confusing or, at least, ambiguous...
I was looking for something that I'd missed in reading it. The description didn't sound like Kerry, though--of course--it could be.

5. psst ;)
If the President of the US were to be someone - anyone - who

won't lie or bully or recklessly lead ...someone whose humble, compassionate, responsible, fair, curious, unsanctimonious, given to thoughtful, nuanced positions ..."
... Mike Trudeau wouldn't have anything to write about. ;)

"Bad for business" for him (and his characters)!

So he's endorsing Bush. Where was the smileyface thingy for "tongue in cheek" when he needed it, eh?

Must be the Canadian blood in him, drying up his humour. ;)

6. Yes, I felt extremely dense after
I read another thread on the subject in the lounge. Duh!

I was afraid I'd have a string of enlightening responses when I returned. You were kind. Thanks. :)

7. The characters have always been active in campaigns
but they have never endorsed a candidate as a franchise, not even Dan Quayle (how do you spell his name?)! This is big.

9. The cartoonist is named Garry Trudeau.
The cartoonist is named Garry Trudeau. He was born in New York. He's not related to Pierre Trudeau, the former Prime Minister of Canada.

Mike Doonesbury is the name of one of the characters in the cartoon.
