Heads up to physics fans (bring your own tin foil)
Edited on Sat Feb-28-04 05:27 PM by neomonkey
Briane Greene, author of The Elegant Universe and The Fabric of the Cosmos will be on coast to coast tonight.

Say what you will about George and Art, they get some great guests on AM you don't see anywhere else. Anyone with a shred of curiosity will love Mr. Greene's appearance tonight. Bring your thinking caps :)

12. Why doesn't someone invent a recording radio?
So I could go to sleep and listen to programs that are on in the middle of the night, ones I forget, etc.?

I will try to listen to the program at 1Am-4Am on WLS. I listened to Nate Clay last night beginning at 1Am. I woke up this morning only to realize...I hadn't heard a thing.

I love web radio that have achieves (such as White Rose, Meria) because, I can listen at my own pace and time.

Thanks for the information.

5. Oh, I saw parts of that show.
Reminded me a bit of a young Carl Sagan. We need somebody to carry that torch.

9. Carl said that, human space travel could not be done until....

they solve the weightlessness effect on the human bone structure. We can't stay for a long time in space without permanent damage. NASA forgets to tell people that. Their new direction is for profit and miliatry use.

But hey...we will have to have space weapons like our other enemies out there on Pluto.

10. Great men build on the shoulders of other great men that came
Edited on Sun Feb-29-04 10:17 AM by mac2
before them...or something like that.

Scientists build on prior knowledge. They alone never can say it was just their idea!! When I worked in research, the first thing you did was read and analyze all prior knowledge and results on the subject...a library search. (Note: To close libraries would stop progress and technology. Around the country...shortage of funds has done so.)

Physics is an ever changing science. It didn't stop at Newton, Einstein, etc. and won't at Greene. We aren't talking about anything else but war and Janet's boob. We need to stop that. I know, you all agree.

11. String theory of the universe.....
made more sense to me than the big bang one. Expanding and moving concept. I watched that NOVA program twice. I'd even watch it again.

6. I love listening to Michio Kaku
and C2C is the only platform he has. I passively listen to C2C almost every night as I fall asleep, it's been a habit for the past 10 years. It's not always as kooky as most people believe.

7. Kaku is great

And anytime he's on C2C I make it a point to sleep as much as I can during the day. I thought it was cool that Brian Greene will be on tonight, it's the first time I have ever heard him speak.

UFO's, Presidential assasination conspiracies, and of course, the Chupacabra
