California DUers: How is the Recall Arnold movement going?
Could our Californians report to us on the status of the effort to recall Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger?

2. I haven't heard anything
I don't think it's going on. As much as I'd love to bounce the moron, we don't have the $$$ for it. Besides, we might end up with something even worse. Personally, I don't want to sink to their level.

But better nobody approach me for a signature to recall Lockyer. I swear, I'll blow off some steam on their asses.

4. It's important to note that when Costa started with the recall Davis move
he had a great deal of support from Peter Camejo on the left as well. Many recall petitions were signed on college campuses. There won't be the same impact with Lockyer as Costa will have a much tougher job with far less funds available unless some religious group with bucketloads of money jumps in line.

9. Lockyer won't get recalled
But there will be some on the left who will hate him for carrying out Ahhnold's attack on San Francisco.

3. Right now no political will at all to proceed
The advocacy group I belong to is currently overcome with legislative changes coming up in March that are far more pressing.

I've not spoken to other interested parties.

5. Democrats are lining up behind Arnold daily
Travelling all over California with him to promote Arnolds 15 billion dollar bailout as the most ingenious thing EVER to be done for California. Even Diane Feinstein is on board with Arnold.

6. What is Feinsteins reason?
Is it just class self interest or something else?

15. She thinks borrowing 15 Billion is the answer to California's problems.
I lost respect for her when I found out. Arnold just couldn't stand the wealthy paying higher taxes on their SUV's and such but has no problems cutting programs for the poor. I hope nothing gets done and no program Arnold wants gets passed because the California economy will come back without any action by silly republicans.

8. Don't think it'll get far
He was just elected by a landslide. And while things over there still suck, Ahhnold's approval ratings are stable to strong.

12. We will see
how props 57& 58 do also 56. If 57 passes he's in for the term if it fails his popularity will drop fast. if 56 passes , he is in trouble too. I tend to believe they'll all fail.

16. Personally I have no interest in
recalling him, that is the repukes game to subvert legal elections. I would just as soon let him fail on his own, in due time he will, and then replace him in two and a half years with a Democrat.
