Can priests vote?

I know they can legally, but are there denominations that don't allow their clergy to vote in elections?

1. How in the world could they do that and still be legal?

2. As far as I know

only the religious groups that are basically anti-government, such as the Jehovah's Witnesses and the Amish, forbid their members to vote. (I don't think either group really has professional clergy anyway.)

There are very few restrictions on the everyday lives of clergy in the major Protestant denominations. My father was a Lutheran pastor, and there was never a question of his not voting.

The pope doesn't want Catholic priests actually holding government office (there was a priest who got in trouble for taking a post in Nicaragua's Sandinista government), but the pope himself was unofficially active in the resistance to Poland's Communist government when he was a priest and bishop.

Many I know are quite vigilant at reminding/urging their parishoners to register and vote, as well.:)
