Tweety Matthews gives * a free campaign commercial.
Edited on Thu Feb-26-04 08:26 PM by PROGRESSIVE1
Tweety just went over the top tonight. After he finished
his interview with David Drier(R), they showed a 90 second spot
that showed Bush as a baby with successive pictures showing him
growing up through the years. In the backround they were playing Springsteens "Born In The U.S.A". On the lower left hand of the screen emblazoned were the words "Battle For the White House 2004".

This is low, really low of him to give * a free commercial.

Pure Propaganda.

1. I'm at least as shocked as when Juluis Streicher gave Hitler a free ad
www.us-israel.org/jsource/biography/Streicher.html

At least that surprised!

Maybe a little more. Maybe a little less.

4. Yes he should. Besides Springsteen is a liberal Democrat!
Why should his art be used to promote a tinpot dictator?

17. Ray-gun tried something similar
and Bruce said he didn't want his music to be equated with repug policy.

6. Sigh........we try to tell you all about "Blow in the Wind Tweety," but no
one listens. He manages to sucker folks in with his "on again, off again" Democratic waffling. You gotta take what you get with that paid off jerk, media whore. :-(

We try and try to tell you but every few days there's a new Tweety post.

Suckering us in...to try to hype his ratings.

10. I MONITOR Tweety. I want to know what the enemy is thinking.
I do NOT watch this POS to support him. He is a mediawhore in the
Faux "News"/Goebbels style.

.....and yes, Tweety is an enemy of ours.

8. I Sure Hope The Boss Was Watching...
Bruce has been extremely outspoken in opposition to this regime and I sure hope he puts a C & D order on any Repugnican use of that song or any other he's written.

In a weak defense of Tweety (who sure doesn't need me on that front...I'm no friend of this opportunist), this was a new GOOP spot coming out and the discussion was on how this will play. I would think he'd do the same had this been a Democrat.

Get used to it, this regime is going to lie, lie, lie...and when they're caught lying, they'll lie some more. Look at how they've tried to say how defecits don't matter, the economy HAS recovered and now exporting jobs will help the economy and all of us through cheap crap at Wal-Mart (Drier is a such a feckless fraud...too bad Charlie Rangel wasn't there to kick his sorry ass)

tried to use Born in the USA in one of his campaign ads. I hope he hears about it.

9. I think it's time to research Tweety's PRODUCER, because THAT is the guy
who is pulling this shit. Tweety's last producer during the 2000 campaign ended up working for the Bush WH...surprise, surprise.

No doubt Jack Welch/GE replaced him with someone equally nefarious for similar reasons.

18. Springsteen Banned Cheney from his concerts
Edited on Thu Feb-26-04 08:52 PM by sweet_scotia
<< SNIPPet From republican article >>

Last weekend at Fed Ex Field, just outside the nation's capital, the self-styled all-American rock 'n' roller Bruce Springsteen played one of his marathon sessions to an enthusiastic crowd. They were approving, that is until ''the Boss'' interrupted his performance to complain about domestic politics and the war on terror.

Mr. Springsteen informed the crowd that people of all political stripes attend his concerts and everybody is welcome — ''with the exception of Dick Cheney.'' Mr. Springsteen has banned the vice president of the United States from his concerts — not that Mr. Cheney would go anyway — because he is part of an administration Mr. Springsteen accuses of ''playing with the truth during wartime.''

22. Pretty soon after...
He did the same for Kerry with U2's Beautiful Day playing in the background. The beauty of it was, Bush looked like an ass in his promo, and Kerry looked pretty good. And I'm a Dean, Clark, Kucinich guy. Let's give Chris Matthews a break already.

25. At least we aren't paying for this one
As we normally do. Fucking asshole flies all over, gives the same speech, charges $1,000 a plate (sometimes more) and does it on taxpayer money.

And the worst part is, he has been doing this for three years now.

People on Faux and CNN are acting like his campaign is beginning now.

BULLSHIT

His campaign began once he was installed in the White House, and 9/11 was the big event.
