1. You sure it was from that address?
Or was it a spoofed return address as is the case with most virii these days.

Most likely the actual source was someone who has both the naderexplore.org address and your address both in their address book.

5. I know that's what the return address said.
BUT, with most of the newer viruses, once a person is infected the virus will start sending out e-mails with a random address in the "from" field and a random address in the "to" field. Both taken from the infected persons address book.

So, if there's anybody out there that has both you and that info address in their address book, that's where the virus is coming from.

2. He has a message about it on his site
http://www.votenader.org/contact/spam.php

He says it's not from him (obviously) and that they are trying to figure out who is doing it but they cannot stop it at the moment.

Must be that pesky Green Party!

4. mail headers
Maybe there are some clues to the letter's real origins in the mail headers. Here's some info on deciphering them: http://www.stopspam.org/email/headers.html
