How much of the profits from "Passion" go towards the church?

Just out of curiosity, Is Mel Gibson planning on donating the profits from this film to the church and/or religious charities?

Because if he isn't, wouldn't he just be making a profit on the tortured back of his Lord and Savior?

1. Even if he wasn't giving anything this thing is a huge marketing

tool that will drive the faithful into their churches and cough up big for salvation. My guess is the churches are very happy to have this kind of film put out and wouldn't be standing in line to criticize Mel for doing exactly what they did for a thousand years in Europe.

They used to drag the bones of St. Paul and St. Peter around in gold trimmed glass cases as a collections generator tool. When I toured the museums in Germany and Austria I was utterly amazed to find out that St. Paul must have had 15 thumbs, because I kept seeing them at every little museum and historic church I stopped at.
