The DU thread on senate tally on the marriage amendment is linked on WaPo's new political page. It's arguably the best political briefing each morning. I recommend reading it every day for the latest. It's even-handed and not clique-minded like some other political briefings.
Hopefully the link will bring DU some more good lefty members!

This is the power of the Internet, and I wish more clean, solid research like this was done on DU.

Unfortunately, it's hard to keep a research thread pure because of the comments that get added that are extraneous.

IMO, research threads should have a special designation and rule regarding "commentary" as opposed to "advancing the task"

I can see why Media© is tossing bodies out of work and continuing to 'converge'

I mean if the 'news' consumer can get the 'mixed' perspective they wish with a few mouse clicks--why would anyone pay some 'journalist' a 'high 5-low 6' figure to spin WH press briefings, watch Fox news or re-write some crap off Drudge.

Even the entertainment 'section' is introducing people to 'reality' and the 'kinoscope' wing is suggesting you can have a religious experience in multiplex!!
