Freepers going nuts about Stern
I know that I shouldn't, but I lurk at that site sometimes. Like any normal American, I sometimes get stuck "rubber-necking". I'm banned from posting there. I think it had something to do with an unflattering comment or two about Ray-gun.

Anyway, which one of you DUers posted the below? If this is not satire or sarcasm, we are in more trouble than I thought. Almost like the "smite me almighty smiter" line in Bruce Almighty

Lord, God, Please remove this idiot from public life permanently.
If there's a chance he can confess and repent--great.
If not, remove him forcefully and dramatically from public life. Let him be humiliated in spades in all the worst ways he's humiliated or attempted to humiliate truth and righteousness.
Cause him to fall in his own pit. Please cause it to happen soon.
Cause him to lose his voice for at least as many years as he has been abusing his voice to spread filth.
Cause him to be isolated from all who would flatter his ego and tell him lies he wants to hear.
Cause him to lose sleep haunted by nightmares of a world rife with values he trumpets.
Cause him to crash and burn in all ways he has assaulted others on his show.

In Jesus' Name, Amen

1. Funny, I've said that prayer many a time.
Although it was for Rush Limbaugh.

5. Horrible that he's suggesting his listeners vote against Bush!
"Stern; "Bush ok for Iraq, but he needs to be voted out of office in November. (remember Stern influences 20 million listeners every morning.)

Are they kidding? Conservative radio hosts have a monopoly on the public airwaves. They really must be bigger chickenshits than I thought if they get freaked out by a single rant from a single host.

7. If this was the reason for his dismissal. . .
I expect we'll hear a lot from him in the coming months (for surely, with 20 million daily listeners he will get another gig) as he exhorts his listeners to oppose ShrubCo while he encourages them to turn-off Clear Channel.

Wasn't it Clinton who said, "Never pick an argument with people who purchase ink by the barrel." Something similar might be said of ShockJocks.

6. God, please let Rush get busted for Oxycontin addiction
And so it shall pass... Sorry, Freepers. God only answers the prayers worth answering.

And God told me to tell you that he doesn't talk to Bush.

IT IS FREAKING AMAZING. How about how much concern they have for "freeing the people of Iraq" yet they don't care that oppression of some folk in America has been going on over 400 years.

10. In Jesus' Name, Amen
"Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you,"

It is a strong proof of human depravity that men’s curses and Christ’s blessings should meet on the same persons. Who would have thought that a man could be persecuted and reviled, and have all manner of evil said of him, for righteousness’ sake?

These people have not a clue of Jesus and what he had to say about anything. They are quite sick. Wanting Jesus to harm a fellow human being.

12. They're praying to some Old Testament "God"
Edited on Thu Feb-26-04 05:08 PM by Gman
RW Conservatives really hate Jesus. They hate what Jesus stands for. They hate Jesus because they think he's too liberal. Those people worship pagan gods and are hateful peoplel that will burn in hell.
