Cheney Biography Question

I realize that Cheney is a Republican part insider, who has been associated with them for nearly his entire career, did he have any connections to Bush before he was selected as VP? They didn't grow up together, but they were both involved in the oil industry, so is there perhaps something there?

I did see the name Cheney several times on the list of Skull and Bones members, though.

4. I think Cheney was the

Defense Secretary under Bush I. I think his only education is that he got a degree from the University of Wyoming but I could be wrong.
