I don't get the Gore as Deus Ex Machina phenomenon
He's made it clear he's not running, and it would be highly unlikely that a draft would be successful, and even if he did get in the race, the other nine candidates have a large fundraising lead on him. And why would we, as Democrats, want to prop him up so that he can get hit with the same bullshit talking points, the "Well you think Gore would have bombed Arab Country X?" shit, and have him not defend against them again, and this time lose for real?

Please, stop thinking St. Al is going to descend from the heavens of the DNC and "save" us. We don't need any saving, we've got eight good candidates to choose from, we don't need a rerun.

He had good reasons to get out. Now the rumors that he's reconsidering sound sinister. Gee you think the powers that be are freaked out by "people powered Howard?"

Then there's the fact that Bush is looking very vulnerable.
