pls can anyone answer this
Is it possible that bush cant see or realize just how much he is loated not only here but worldwide. I know hes a mental midget and disconnected from reality, but after awhile you must feel something at being so hated. He was the first usa president to visit europe and to be booed - he couldnt walk to the white house on inauruagation becuase of all the crowds calling him a thief and stolen election etc....
Can anyone who isnt completel psychotic be so unaware of the world around him?

1. At least he didn't have sex with an intern
that would have gotten him impeached!

5. And the people are just another "focus group"
Edited on Wed Feb-25-04 10:46 PM by AZCat
Remember his comment about all the anti-war protests?
<snip>
On Tuesday President Bush was asked to address the massive anti-war protests. He said: "Democracy is a beautiful thing, and that people are allowed to express their opinion. I welcome people's right to say what they believe. Secondly, evidently some of the world don't view Saddam Hussein as a risk to peace? you know, size of protest, it's like deciding, well, I'm going to decide policy based upon a focus group."

4. I think he honestly believes he's a martyr. God tells him what to do
and he suffers for fulfilling God's will.

Fundies aren't fundies because they're evil, they're fundies because they actually believe in what they preach (I'd have more respect for them if they were just devious). I don't think Bush is lying, I think he sees himself as a man who's doing God's will under difficult circumstances.

THAT'S what really scares me.

6. uhh, umm, no
he's evil. He knows it too. There is no similarity between him and a Christ-figure, a martyr or a Xtian.

he's using it for his own ill gotten gain.

8. people of this ilk maintain that an idea that pops into their heads...
...is god speaking to them. Literally. What are merely ideas or thoughts to you and I, is god's voice speaking directly and intentionally to them.

Coincidentally, they also maintain that god's voice cannot be denied. It matters little whether the idea is workable.

Mental exercise: think about how your life would be different if every idea that you had was as binding on the world as the "will of god"...
