Highlights of today's Howard Stern (with offending passage)
Edited on Wed Feb-25-04 07:55 PM by Paragon
http://www.marksfriggin.com/news.htm#wed

Howard started off the show talking about George W. Bush's ''hoopla'' over the gay marriage thing. He said that he's hell bent on stopping gay marriages. Howard and Robin both said that they think it's a big waste of time. Howard went on to talk about some other news about how the CIA had information about the 9/11 hijackers before it happened and they didn't do anything about it. Howard said they were given the information by Germany and were warned that they might be hijacking a plane. Howard said that Bush shouldn't be worrying about the gay marriage thing, he should be trying to save the country.

Howard got an e-mail from a friend of his and wanted to read it but he was trying to find the part that was interesting but it wasn't working. He said that he couldn't find it while trying to talk to Robin at the same time. He and Gary eventually found it. The guy who wrote in works in the government but Howard wouldn't say who it was. He just said that the guy told him that they've gotten more mail about Bono saying the F-word on the Grammys than any other subject. People are more worried about that than about even the World Trade Center attacks. Howard said the whole thing is just crazy. He also said that he thinks George W. is just out to impress his father. He said all he's really managed to do is have Clear Channel get rid of Bubba the Love Sponge.

Howard played some tape of Mel Gilbson's father being interviewed and talking about the holocaust. He was saying that the Jews don't work hard working jobs. Howard said that if he was saying this stuff about the blacks, there would be an uproar. The guy was also saying that the gas chambers that were used in Germany wouldn't have worked and couldn't have killed as many Jews as they said they did. Howard said the guy sounds insane and really wacky talking about that stuff. Howard said that Mel's new movie is a tribute to this guy. Howard said the interview sounds like it was from the 1930's but it was just a few weeks ago. Howard spent a few minutes talking about that and how it's just son's trying to impress fathers. The Mel Gibson movie, George W Bush's gay marriage ban and Howard doing radio. It's all son's trying to impress their fathers.

Howard took some phone calls and let some people vent on George W and some other stuff. One guy was blaming the Clinton administration for not getting Osama bin Laden years ago. Howard and the guy talked about that for a short time. The caller suggested that Howard run for President. Howard said that he would make too much sense and would have to be bumped off if he got in.

While they were talking about this stuff the delay was hit multiple times. Howard was talking about the first breast he saw as a kid. He said it was a black woman in National Geographic with plates in her lips and rings around her neck. Howard continued to goof on (Congresswoman Heather) Wilson and all of the nonsense she was spewing. Howard and Gary were also talking about how these people accept money from the people they regulate to travel and do other stuff. Howard said it's time for them to go along with George Bush. Howard told Bush to call off his attack dogs and get on to the real problems in this country. He took a break right after that.

3. Boy, we don't have any talk show hosts like that in Seattle!
It looks to me like he said about a dozen things that would make the BFEE to shut him up permanently.

Listen to Mike Webb (10pm-1am weekdays) and Erin Hart (9pm-1am weekends) on 710 KIRO. You won't believe what you've been missing!

5. This is pretty tame stuff for Stern
Edited on Wed Feb-25-04 08:18 PM by jimshoes
If Clear Channel has set the bar this ridiculously high, then we have officially stepped through the looking glass. I feel sorry for the saps behind Howard's suspension the next time he gets behind a microphone. Hell hath no fury like a pissed off Howard Stern. It will be a bloodletting.

Edit: sp

6. CC afraid that millions of listener's will hear his Bush statements...
Edited on Wed Feb-25-04 08:19 PM by OneTwentyoFive
But nailing his ass to the floorboards over that would cause a really big stink... so jump on some vulgar statement a caller made as the reason. Think how many Stern could make between now and Nov.

If anyone with half a brain can't see through this shit....

7. Bubba the Love Sponge fired the day he attacked Bushco
for over an hour on his radio program. Stern suspended the day he does the same. This is politically motivated censorship. Clear Channel is afraid of the anti-Bush message reaching that all important demographic.
This is the future with media consolidation.
I agree - Stern will absolutely tear these people apart. They really don't know what they started with him!

9. I can respect that, but
those lowest common denominators have one vote each. And there are several million of them.
