WTF! Despite Bush "appeal", Hastert won't extend 9/11 investigation....

The little dictator wants all the facts to come out, but Hastert doesn't want to let it become a poltical football. Right.

They expect us to believe that Andrew Card really appealed for Hastert to reconsider. Sure.

Well, Card, don't worry. Ellen Mariani and Kristen Breitweiser and many other 9/11 victims won't let the investigation die.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - In a blow to the commission investigating the Sept. 11 attacks, the speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives has told the White House and fellow Republicans that he will not bring up legislation to extend its May 27 deadline, officials said on Wednesday.

President Bush's chief of staff, Andrew Card, personally had appealed to Speaker Dennis Hastert to reconsider, and the Illinois Republican met on Wednesday with Bush at the White House.

But the speaker's spokesman, John Feehery, said Hastert told the White House and members of the House Republican conference that "it's a bad idea to extend the commission and ... that we're not going to bring any legislation up."

The commission wants a 60-day extension through July 26 to complete its final report on the attacks. Despite initial objections, Bush backed the extension and the Senate is moving forward with legislation.

2. Big surprise, eh?
Talk about the fix being in. If the "President" wanted this, he would surely have gotten it. Hastert takes the fall, and does as he is told. Geez, Rove/Card must think we are stupid. Maybe it will be their downfall (one can only hope).

4. Hey, that's how they always did it in my business
The CEO *wants* X, (not really) but...the terrible VP of Personnel/Finance/Your-Dept-Here says "no." Oh what can the CEO do???

Even though everyone knows who runs the show, the one who needs to be protected always *is* protected. Especially with this gang of pirates.

5. The families of the victims
These family members who have shown so much courage are true American patriots. They fight for us all.

Why the reluctance to investigate among our self-proclaimed protectors? It seems all they want to protect us from is the truth.
