How many people would give Malloy $5 a month to hear him?

I mean, how much money does it take to produce a show? Not much.

All he really needs is a laptop and an internet connection.

The bandwidth can be handled by bit torrent, i.e. the collective bandwith of all the listeners machines.

I mean - if he had just 1000 listeners giving $5 a month... That's $5000 a month. He can't do a show for $5000 a month?

And you know ther'd be more than 1000 people willing to fork over to keep his words flowing.

How about 2400 people give $25 a year - that's $6000 a month. He can't make an MP3 a day for $6,000 a month? I know I could.

This is the internet folks. You don't need some heavy distribution costs if you are smart and take advantage of things like P2P sharing.

I don't know when Kathy is due to have the baby, but it probably in a couple of months or so.....

He said Kathy might go back to school after the baby is born to finish her nursing degree. She apparently dropped out so she could produce Mike's show.
