Can 200+ Million Dollars re-shape W's battered image?
We all know of the currently idle warchest the Republicans have been waiting to unleash.

Yet it seems that in the meantime Bush's public image and perception have been maligned greatly.

Can substantial amounts of slander and manipulation of facts (read: lies) give Bush the bounce he's looking for, or is his image already beyond repair?

I'm optimistic, and think that all the 200 million will be able to do is energize his hard core base. I believe the left and "swing voters" have already made up their mind and see W. as the fraud he is.

1. Money can't buy the truth.

Too many people know the truth about now, and if we play our cards right, there will be a lot more truth to come. Also, I'm sick of the media trying to intimidate us with stories about his "war chest." It just won't be that simple this time around--especially since there's a pretty good chance that we could come up with at leasr a million people who can afford to part with at least two hundred dollars!

3. I agree.......
The 'war chest' the GOP has is akin to being the lipstick one puts on a pig; trouble is, too many people now know that Bush is in reality just a pig.

2. You might want to lower that dollar amount
The last time they described Bush's 'War Chest' in a news article, earlier this week, they described it as '$105 million', no longer $200 million. Perhaps it will be $50 million by November.

Apparently, the racketeering business has been a little slow this year...

4. Look what $40 million did for Dean
A whole lot of Nuthin'.

Bush is a far less appealing candidate than Dean, running on a record of dismal failure in every arena. One thing is sure, he will NEED every penny of it to even have a chance to win.

5. Remember that big wave in the "The Perfect Storm"?
That's us.

And remember that arrogant captain and his little piddly shit boat tring to race up the face of that wave?

That's the Bush campaign.

You know the rest.

8. They won't try to re-shape his image
Their sole goal will be to portray the Democratic nominee as a dangerous, naive, liberal do-gooder.

They'll secure their right wing base with some "positive" Bush* commercials. But everything else will go to driving up the negatives of the opponent.

I think the swing votes are still up in the air. They change allegiance as the wind blows. They are very susceptable to cheap propaganda.

This is going to be a very close election--and it won't be easy for us to win.

12. not unless BushCo changes tactics
they can spend all the money in the world but as long as they keep giving the President canned phrases and insist on squashing any actual discussion of issues, it won't matter. The BushCo Administration has a firm grip on their idiot representative, and in recent weeks they've demonstrated that Bush can't speak, can't stick to a subject, and makes no decision without his "advisors". This is not leadership. So spend millions of dollars portraying BushCo as an effective "uniter" will work on uninformed Americans...let's try and inform as many Americans as we can before Nov!

13. Considering that he lost the popular vote last time
when he was an unknown, and that not one of those who voted against him would change to vote for him now. That and all the different groups he has suceeded in uniting with the goal of kicking his smirking monkey ass* back to the pig farm, I'd say all the fucking money in the world is not going to help this fucker*
